About the position
Based in Rome, Italy, at the Alliance Headquarters, and under the direct supervision of the Associate Officer, Strategic Performance and Results Management (SPRM), the Job Trainee will ensure data quality and information accuracy of the existing catalogue of innovations developed by the Climate Action Research Program. Furthermore, the Job Trainee will provide tailored support for mapping innovations and tools developed by the other Research Levers’ scientists though CGIAR research initiatives and bilateral research projects into their own catalogues.
Responsibilities
Liaise with Climate Action scientists to ensure data accuracy and reliability of the information included in their innovations catalogue.
Prepare for each Research Lever a baseline document featuring all information on their innovations available in the different Alliance applications for reporting.
Assist with gathering and vetting past innovations from the Alliance website in collaboration with the Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination unit.
Assist with collecting and reporting new innovations by conducting interviews with Research Levers’ scientists and reviewing internal documents.
Ensure preciseness of the new information gathered and update existing information in agreement with Research Levers’ scientists.
Assist with entering quality assured data on Research Levers’ innovations in the dedicated reporting applications.
Requirements Essential Requirements
• Secondary school education.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages.
• Working knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
• Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills, courtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds.
• Good skills in personal organization and priority setting.
• Good client orientation and service approach.
• Good time management skills and attention to details.
• Basic knowledge of OCS and PBI.
Desirable Requirements
• University degree in a relevant field (e. g. : Law, International Relations, etc. ).
• Previous internships in relevant areas.
• Work experience in an international environment.
• Knowledge of Spanish language is a plus.
Benefits Terms of employment
This is a job traineeship position based in Rome ( Italy) open only to internal candidates, namely: regular staff members, complementary staff members and individuals who are currently employed or have completed a contract with Bioversity in the last 6 months. The monthly salary is Euro 1,217. The contract is initially for a period of four (4) months. The contract may be extendable based on performance and availability of funds.

· Or be EU citizens holding a valid passport or identity card and confirmation of registration from the Registrar’s Office ( Anagrafe).
