Position Overview
Clearwater is a leading global corporate finance house with a great track-record of originating, managing and delivering clearly defined strategies to help its clients achieve their objectives and long-term goals through M amp; A, debt raising and refinancing. Clearwater employs more than 425 people across 20 offices throughout Europe with partner companies in US and China.
Clearwater is looking for a qualified associate with at least three-four years Debt Advisory and/or Leverage Finance experience, gained in investment banks, structure finance desks of top tier banks or leading boutiques.
The candidate will be part of our fast growing and dynamic advisory team in Milan, supporting the debt advisory team in both origination and execution tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee junior resources in collecting, analyzing, rearranging business and financial information related to client or prospect companies Coordinate and oversee junior resources in conducting research on prospective client/target companies to prepare customized presentations for business development purposes Actively participate in deals origination by preparing pitchbooks and marketing presentations Manage, together with and under the supervision of the senior member of the team, debt advisory processes across all phases (e. g. from preliminary analysis, to termsheet and facility agreements negotiations)
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, committed and reliable professional, with a strong team spirit and a positive, proactive attitude3-4 years of experience in debt advisory or structured/leverage finance, gained at a top-tier Investment Bank, leading boutique, or within the structured finance team of a major bank Solid understanding of debt structuring and leverage buyout processes, with a strong focus on the credit fundamentals In-depth knowledge of the credit markets and their dynamics Proven ability to adapt analytical skills to a wide range of client situations and needs Strong quantitative, analytical, and technical capabilities, combined with a creative, open-minded, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset Fluency in English is a must, other European languages are a plus Excellent academic credentials and a track record of professional excellence
