Hauptaufgaben Incumbent advises the Registrar and Provost Marshall in the areas of licensing and privately owned vehicle (POV) customs clearance for personnel with vehicles registered in the Allied Forces Italy registration system.
As all registered PO Vs are processed through the Vehicle Processing Center, the incumbent has continuing personal contacts with the Provost Marshall and USAG- Italy to resolve various policy problems for vehicle registration and clearance.
Assists in the administration of the command-wide vehicle registration program in handling the registration of vehicles brought into the command and sales of vehicles between members of the command.
Works the entire registration process from time of arrival at port to the receipt of license plates.
Based on guidelines and directives from USAREUR and SETAF Regulations, NATO Agreements, Naval Support Activities Instructions ( Naples) and Italian Customs regulations, advises military and civilian personnel on appropriate procedures to follow in connection with a wide variety of transactions.
Examples of these types of cases are: the purchase of a vehicle from outside the command or from another foreign country, the purchase of a vehicle from a tourist, the bringing of a vehicle through Italian Customs, the registering of second cars.
Acts as a liaison between the Provost Marshall and police, customs, finance and related law enforcement officials and agencies to obtain cooperation, concurrence and assistance in order that the Provost Marshall's crime prevention, enforcement and vehicle registration programs meet the standards of the command.
Performs registration of weapons and advises personnel on weapons registration requirements.
The incumbent ensures the registration process is carried out in an outstanding manner.
The incumbent is responsible for the interpretation and application of Italian police laws and USAREUR and SETAF regulations with respect to purchasing weapons, the registration process and privately owned weapons safeguard.
Incumbent prepares special/recurring reports.
Prepares various reports for SETAF, USAREUR, Naval Support Activity ( Naples) and Italian Customs authorities on the registrations of weapons, POL products, and license plates.
Incumbent is responsible to maintain a variety of office files.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 08. 30 to 15. 00, including a 30-minute uncompensated lunch break.
Qualifikationsanforderungen MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the qualification requirements in the Qualification Standards Handbook as summarized below.
EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the UA-06 grade level.
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Diploma di Laurea triennale or Diploma universitario, in any field.
NOTE: Knowledge of the English language, both oral and written, is required in order to understand difficult English instructions and directives, and to participate in complicated discussions.
