Posting Details ( Default Section) Posting Number: ...F Position Title: Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, Program of Italian Studies Position Type: Faculty Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/ External Applicants Work Schedule: full-time/9-months Department: 984- Italian Studies Position Summary: The Program of Italian Studies at Villanova invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, starting in the fall semester 2024.
The appointment is for one year, but may be renewable depending on departmental needs.
We seek an individual who is committed to teaching highly motivated undergraduates at the introductory and intermediate levels.
Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order.

Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will teach three or four courses per semester depending on the level, and will have the opportunity to design classes and curricular materials.
Additionally, the faculty member will contribute to departmental service and student mentoring.
Minimum Qualifications: The PhD should be in a relevant discipline, and the candidate should have native or near-native fluency in Italian.
Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in instructional pedagogies, and the capacity to create innovative language and culture courses.
