Product Developer – Moto Apparel

We are currently looking for a PRODUCT DEVELOPER to join our Moto Apparel Department, who will lead and manage the development of new, innovative and top-quality motorcycle gear.




Main Responsibilities






• You will lead the end-to-end development process for Racing, ensuring that all products meet all safety, quality and performance standards, whilst also aligning with the brand aesthetics.


• You will be in charge of ensuring that each stage of product development is completed within the set timelines and budget, monitoring closely the progress, as well as identifying and anticipating potential delays or budget overruns.


• You will also collaborate closely with several internal teams, including designers, material managers, pattern makers and production teams, so to select the appropriate fabrics, trims and finishes, so to ensure a seamless transition from concept to prototype, and from prototype to production.


• You will oversee prototype creation, making sure that all product designs are functionally tested for durability, comfort and performance so to optimise user experience.


• You will also be responsible for the creation and maintaining of technical specifications and documentation on our PLM system for each product, so to ensure accurate and consistent manufacturing.


• You will be responsible for negotiating with external suppliers, working closely with them in sourcing materials within budget, managing lead times and ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the development process. Moreover, you will also collaborate closely with external vendors.


• You will work cross-functionally with merchandising, design and pattern makers, so to ensure that the product designs meet market demands as well as customer expectations.


• You will also act as a point of contact for quality assurance, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders in order to resolve any design or manufacturing related issues, whilst also ensuring that all products meet both internal and external quality standards, identifying any continuous improvement areas.


• You will also conduct market research activities to understand consumer preferences, industry trends as well as competitor products.





• Degree in Product Development, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Industrial Design or related field, or alternatively, equivalent experience.


• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in product development, preferably in the apparel, sportswear and/or motorcycle gear industries.


• Strong understanding of materials, textiles and manufacturing processes relevant to motorcycle apparel.


• Proficiency in PLM for technical documentation.


• Previous experience in prototyping and testing, ensuring that all products meet durability and safety standards.


• Knowledge of industry standards such as CE certification and motorcycle safety regulations.


• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly related to product quality and manufacturing processes.


• Detail-oriented approach as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines at the same time.


• Excellent communication skills and team player approach to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Creative and innovative mindset with a practical approach to product development.
