🌍 Moodle Developer - 100 % Remote from Europe.




We are seeking a skilled Full- Stack Developer with proven Moodle expertise to support the development and maintenance of the EU Academy platform for the European Commission.




📍 Location:  Remote 100% from Europe

🚀 Contract:  Freelance long term model of work

🎯 Headquarter offices: Brussels, Belgium







Key Responsibilities:






• 🔧 Develop and maintain front- and back-end components (PHP, JS, HTML, CSS, MySQL).


• 🎨 Customize Moodle core, plugins, and themes.


• 🤝 Collaborate with UX/UI designers, instructional designers, and business analysts.


• 🔗 Integrate third-party AP Is and manage CI/CD pipelines.


• 🚀 Optimize performance (caching, DB indexing, scalability).


• 📊 Create reports and dashboards (e. g. , Power BI).


• 🔒 Ensure security, accessibility, and responsiveness.


• 🌀 Participate in Agile ceremonies and write technical documentation.








Skills &Qualifications:






• 🎓 Bachelor' s degree (EQF Level 6) or equivalent.


• 🧩 1+ year experience with large-scale Moodle environments (500K+ users).


• 💻 Strong knowledge of Moodle AP Is, plugin/theme development.


• 🌐 5+ years in front-end (HTML, CSS, JS) and back-end (PHP, Java).


• ☁️ 2+ years in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).


• 🛠️ Proficient in MySQL, REST/SOAP, Docker, Jira, Confluence.


• 🗣️ Excellent communication and documentation skills ( English C1).





Nice to Have:






• ✅ Agile certification.


• ☁️ Experience with GCP or Azure.


• 🤝 Experience in international/multicultural environments.
