The CDC ( Cloud and Datacenter) BU is seeking an experienced Physical Layout Engineer to work on the development of switching power supplies for data centers and communication markets, leading innovation from concept to implementation.
The CDC BU mission is to define, design and manufacture leading-edge monolithic Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) products in BCD technology, such as: Integrated power stages up to 100A delivered current for multiphase SMPS for server and AI. 16V to sub-1V step-down PoL with integrated Power Stage and PM Bus for server, network and communication. 3. 3V to 0. 5V step-down PoL for Optical Modules.
This Principal Layout Engineer role will come with the following responsibilities: Responsibilities Working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Catania ( Italy), and collaborating with engineers in other locations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the analog/mixed-signal design engineers to ensure proper layout design.
Leading medium and high complexity I Cs floor planning and top routing of all signals.
Using recommended layout and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce optimal designs.
Interacting with the packaging team to generate a clean bonding diagram that complies with assembly rules.
Requirements Technical high school diploma or Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and 10+ years’ experience as a physical layout engineer.
Familiarity with semiconductor device physics.
Understanding of matched structures like current mirrors, input pairs, etc.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work within and effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team.
Scripting/programming skills.
Languages required, both spoken and written: English (B2) and Italian.
