Location/ Division Specific Information:
As part of the Drug Product Division (DPD), the Monza, Italy site is a multi-purpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus, which specializes in taking sterile injectable from development phase through to commercialization!
How Will You Make an Impact?:
Within the Technical Services, you will be in a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance of systems and machinery (electric/mechanic) used in pharmaceutical production.
In your role you will perform the tasks and activities in compliance with the company's and department's SO Ps and current safety regulations.
A Day in the Life:
• Performing interventions to restore mechanical failures on manufacturing machines as stipulated by current SO Ps.
• Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance interventions as stipulated by current SO Ps.
• Performing line set-ups, preparing them for manufacturing activities as stipulated by current SO Ps.
• Completing maintenance intervention sheets, contributing to the optimization of their content as stipulated by current SO Ps.
• Monitoring the performance of the lines during manufacturing activities to maintain high yield levels.
• Contributing to the formulation and improvement of format change activities.
• Creating mechanical parts using machine tools.
• Responsible for the maintenance and condition of equipment and the workshop, including all contained instruments and safety.
• Implementing production line improvements according to the directives of the Team Leader and within a change control system.
• In agreement with the Team Leader, optimizes machine operation with targeted interventions.
Education: High school diploma (electric/mechanic) or equivalent required
Experience:
Required: At least 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or in sectors with comparable quality standards (, food, chemical).
Preferred:
• Experience with pharmaceutical packaging and production systems and machinery.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
• Basic knowledge of industrial automation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Good knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Basic understanding of GMP regulations.
• Good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Willingness to work in shifts
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
• Work conditions include Maintenance shops, clean room manufacturing and lab spaces, and outdoors. Safety hazards including welding, grinding, electrical work, high pressure equipment, chemicals, and noise.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, gripping and grasping. Manipulation (lift, carry, move), ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
