FBK Strategic Planning supports the Digital Health and Wellbeing (dHWB) Centre in promoting an equitable and sustainable public healthcare system, based on the widespread use of digital technologies and AI by both empowered citizens and healthcare professionals, within the context of 5P medicine.
The most important activity is Trentino Salute4. 0, the “ Competence Center on Digital Health,” approved by the Autonomous Province of Trento as a policy instrument to coordinate digital health efforts in the Trentino Province. TS4. 0 serves as a meeting point between the healthcare system, research, and the local community. It acts as a cohesive instrument aligning health planning guidelines, the innovation needs expressed by the Provincial Health Service, and the opportunities offered by research and emerging digital technologies.
Active since 2017, the Center responds to objectives set by policymakers as well as local, national, and European health strategies. Starting from the needs expressed by healthcare professionals and citizens, it identifies new organizational models and technological solutions, examines legal aspects, and evaluates the socio-organizational and economic impact of digital health initiatives. The ultimate goal is to transform tested technical and organizational solutions into innovative services for the healthcare sector.
Job Description
FBK Strategic Planning is seeking a Digital Health Innovation Project Manager with proven experience in managing projects in the fields of e Health and telemedicine. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the technical dimensions of digital health. Particularly important for this role is expertise across the entire process—from design objectives to experimental and service outcomes.
The Project Manager will be responsible for implementing a series of initiatives outlined in the Trentino Salute4. 0 competence center’s action plan.
The selected candidate will work under the coordination of the TS4. 0 Program Manager, in close collaboration with the Digital Health and Wellbeing (dHWB) Centre, as well as various stakeholders at local, national, and international levels.
A strong grasp of digital health innovation is essential. This includes experience in the design, development, and experimentation of digital health solutions, with solid knowledge of user-centered design principles, requirements analysis, legal and regulatory frameworks, and cost estimation.

Job Requirements Master’s degree in one of the following domains: Medical/ Healthcare, Scientific- Technological or Humanities/ Social Sciences; At least 3 years of experience in health innovation project management, with proven competence in managing research projects; Solid knowledge of data protection principles and GDPR regulations; Knowledge of the main aspects necessary for the management of user privacy in projects involving the collection of sensitive data; Possession of a project management certification (e. g. , PMI, PM², PRINCE2); Oral and written proficiency in both Italian and English; Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional requirements PhD (or at least 3 years of experience following a Master's degree) in one of the following fields: Technologies applied to health Health Sciences Public Policies applied to health Excellent problem-solving skills and result orientation; Knowledge about ethical issues on digital health-related projects; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Good team working attitude; Good self-organization and autonomous operation; Experience in publication of scientific papers in the field of digital health.

Type of contract: Tenure Track position leading to an FBK 3nd Level Technologist (T3) permanent contract.
Duration: The duration of the Tenure Track contract will be determined by the Committee based on the assigned KP Is (at least one year, which may be reduced in accordance with the Committee assessment on the candidate's abilities and skills). If the final assessment of the Tenure Track experience is positive, the selected candidate for the tenure track position will be offered a permanent T3 contract.
Working hours: full time.
Gross annual salary: 44. 000 € (plus objectives achievement bonus).
Start date: September 2025
