For our client, leading multinational company, we’re looking for a Accounting Supervisor. The resource will add value by providing accurate, timely, and pertinent accounting & financial information and guidance.
Individual will support the Accounting Manager on managing the financial accounting and reporting systems, implementing robust procedures that create accurate, timely and relevant financial statements, measurements and business analysis, includes direct supervision and development of all accounting team members.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the fiscal closing process including closing journal entries and sub ledgers timely, accurately, in accordance to local statutory requirements and US GAAP.
This includes active support to Business Finance on analysis, interpretation and reporting of budget and actual variance and financial results.
Manage and review all aspects of technical accounting, including timely identification of and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, internal controls and documenting issues appropriately (local statutory, Sarbanes- Oxley SOX and US GAAP).
Continuously evaluate system flows, emphasizing continuous improvement in business processes.
Promote organization changes reflecting any organization process change and foresee future opportunities to be reflected in current set up.
Help establishing lean roles and processes within the group.
Supervise and direct accounting & finance staff in view of a lean organization providing guidance to clear connection with Business Finance and all other Departments.
Ensure and reinforce current reconciliation processes within Accounting, i. e. tax related, statutory related, monthly reporting related, and promote accounting team involvement in reporting activities (i. e Tax workbook, reporting analysis and submission) as well as partnership with Business Finance analysis Ensure lean statutory process planning and execution within the account team and with auditors plan and activities Manage and/or assist with special projects on group wide initiatives and process simplification, promoting digitalization Skills & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting Requires 10+ years of experience, preferably within manufacturing & industrial products industry Advanced Excel skills and preferrable working knowledge of Power Point and Word Experience with most common ERP and Consolidation & Reporting systems Capability to quickly engage and work with new ERP and software tools Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to develop good business relationships and provide functional leadership.
Above average written and oral communication skills in English.
Disciplined work ethic, detail oriented and well organized.
Team player and results oriented with focus on punctuality and deadlines. #LI-IC
