Site Software embedded Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Site Software embedded Engineer to join its office in Rome within the  Digital Technology and Cybersecurity  Division.

Key Accountabilities


During the course of the projects, you will participate in the various phases of the software life cycle. The main activities will therefore be:

software architecture definition

software development




•
troubleshooting and support




Qualifications



•
At least 5 years of experience in developing embedded systems on real-time platforms, including projects with Vx Works.




•
Experienced in developing and maintaining software for embedded systems with real-time requirements.




•
Ability to work closely with hardware for tasks such as debugging, performance tuning, and peripheral management.




•
Good knowledge of the Vx Works real-time operating system.




•
Expertise in managing tasks, semaphores, mutexes, and synchronization mechanisms (preferably Vx Works-specific).




•
Ability to develop device drivers, manage file systems, and configure network stacks (TCP/IP) Excellent command of C++ with a focus on resource optimization.




•
Expertise in analyzing response times and determinism to meet real-time requirements.




•
Experience in writing and running unit and functional tests (especially for embedded environments).




•
Expert use of version control systems




•
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Dev Ops for embedded environments and continuous integration (CI/CD)



Education


Bachelor’s Degree Master’s Degree in Engineering General
