With broad experience within process industry and automation projects related to Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Lifecycle Services, Software Solutions you will be playing a key role in supporting Outside Sales by identifying the best technical solutions to meet customer needs. Acting as the main point of contact for Italian customers, you will ensure a high-quality and responsive proposal process, working closely with our Hubs. This role offers a local, knowledgeable, and approachable communication channel for our customers, helping to deliver tailored solutions with confidence and clarity, with focus on Emerson’s signature DCS - DeltaV system. Â

Onsite presence is essential for effective collaboration and fostering our dynamic team environment. We have a hybrid model of working (weekly 1 day remote option). Our office is located in Seregno, Italy.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Own the proposal process end-to-end: from solution design and costing to final proposal delivery.
• Ensure all customer quotations are technically accurate, commercially verified, and delivered on time.
• Qualify RF Qs and provide site surveys to confirm alignment with customer application and operational needs.
• Act as Solutions Architect by advising on technical solutions and benefits, ensuring suitability and fitness for purpose.
• Clarify scope with customers to improve quality and manage expectations between requested and offered scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates (materials, services, other costs) and define proposal strategy.
• Ensure smooth handover to Project Execution and follow up on quotations in coordination with Sales.

For This Role, You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technical field or equivalent experience
• Proven sales / business development experience in a B2B technical environmentÂ
• Background in industrial automation /process industriesÂ
• Affinity towards technology and innovations and good technical understanding of DCS systemsÂ
• CRM & MS Office tools
• Proficiency in English and Italian language
• Open to travel to customer sites
• Drivers license

• Ability to work within a complex matrix organization and collaborate across business units
• In-depth knowledge of at least one major Industry such as chemical, pharma, petrochemical, or similarÂ
