We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join the EMEAI Field Service Team that is in charge to shape the future of Datalogic’s success in the Transport & Logistics (T&L) business, by interacting with the leading companies of the industry worldwide.
The role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing the project from the time it officially begins until the handover of the system on the customer site. You will ensure the project results meet technical, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage sophisticated T&L projects, gather, analyze, and negotiate the functional requirements and the technical specifications;
• Elaborate the project schedule according to the client program;
• Provide effective communication with all the stakeholders throughout the project;
• Ensure the respect of the billing milestones planning and of the terms and conditions included in the contract;
• Coordinate the project team and all the involved parties in delivering the final solution to the client;
• Collaborate with the Sales and the Application Engineers and manage priority for the assigned project;
• Support the Field Service functional managers by defining the effort required for the project and for the post-sales services;
• Report and present the lessons learned acquired from the pre-sales to the post-sales phases;
• Supervise the installation and the commissioning on site when required by the contract and/or needed by the client;
• Manage change orders, issues, assumptions, and constraints until the project closure phase;
• Analyze the earned value and the costs during the project execution;
• Monitor and control the project profitability.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other scientific areas.
• Languages: Italian; Fluent in English; German optional (highly desired)
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, time critical and significantly complex projects in a high-tech industry ( Hardware / Software) with multi-functional teams. Experience with managing customers as main stakeholders and Field Service activities will be considered as a plus.
Other Information & Specific Skills
• Willing to learn new skills and be highly coachable in this fast-paced environment.
• PMP Certification or other Project Management certifications are highly desired.
• The role requires occasional travels to global destinations according to the client/project location.
