ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Oversees and directs the Justin’s Place Recovery Program: Transitional and RFL ( Recovery for Life) tracks at Wolfe Apartments. Assists Alumni Director in placement of reintegration alumni members placed into RFL housing at Wolfe Apartments. The Manager ensures that the program is properly executed and managed in accordance with the written program plan/documentation. The Manager will help oversee RPL ( Recovery Peer Leadership) Coordinator, with particular emphasis upon managing staff (working at Phase 2 location: Wolfe Apartments). The Manager ensures that the overall program plans/goals adhere to St. Matthew’s House mission statement and core values. The Manager is responsible for maintaining lesson plans, learning objectives for residents, and overseeing all groups and classes. Serving as an advocate for all residents, the Manager helps provide services that will enable residents to walk in faith while learning to fully function independently and within a healthy community.
ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP TASKS
Continually seeks guidance and direction from immediate supervisor: Sr. Director of Justin’s Place in order to fully incorporate the vision of St. Matthew’s House Leadership
Responsible for ensuring that RPL Interns and Staff are functioning properly and adhering to their respective roles
Regularly meets with other key players on team in order to discuss and evaluate individual progress; prepares accurate and up-to-date records (via case notes in Mission Tracker “MT”) documenting same.
Performs annual reviews for all staff under his/her direction and recommends pay increases and improvement plans if and when appropriate
Facilitates classes and ensures other staff participation
Provides monthly reports to immediate supervisor: Sr. Director of Justin’s Place, as well as periodic updated progress reports per VP of Programs request
Annually (or upon request) updates key documents tracking program stats and program success
Attends all required scheduled meetings
Ensures proper protocol adherence to all policies and procedures as they relate to the Justin’s Place recovery program
Periodically helps review case notes and/or comments on program residents to ensure proper frequency and accuracy is adhered to by RPL Interns and staff
Occasionally attends meetings with representatives of other agencies to keep the community up to date regarding Justin’s Place, as well as keeping St. Matthew’s House up to date on services provided through outside agencies
Helps assist other departments with scheduled tours if need arises
Periodically sets up luncheons with staff and volunteers to help solidify effectiveness of program and to help ensure that program needs are met
Coaches team and residents through personal example and discipleship
Ensures that facilities and fleet vehicles are maintained at a high standard
Must be able to drive, maintain proper insurance coverages and a valid Florida Driver’s License
Requirements
Education : State or National certification in addictions required.
Continuing Education in related field (ministry, addictions
recovery, counseling) maintained.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years’ experience in ministry and/or addictions recovery programming
Confidentiality : Works with highly confidential information.
Mental/ Visual Demands : Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
Physical Demand : Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time and life at
least 25 pounds. Must be able to bend or kneel to the ground.
Working Conditions : Normal office environment. Travel will be required among
numerous facilities.
