About the Group/ Team Canva’s in-house Content Creative team is on a mission to empower our users around the world by providing them with world-class, inspirational Templates and Elements that help them achieve their creative goals.
Content is the core of Canva and our revenue comes from the templates that we make and our users use and export for their personal or own business.
Apart from catering to our users’ needs, we are earning a lot of revenue by partnering up with different companies so we can provide templates that will help them build their businesses.
We work from concept to creation on high quality, globally relevant, trend-setting creative across Canva’s product ecosystem ( Presentations, Docs, Whiteboards, Social Media, Websites, Print, to name but a few!), Brand Partnerships, Seasonal and Cultural Campaigns, Education, and Diversity Initiatives.
Content Creative is responsible for setting the overall Creative Strategy and Direction for the content that sits within Canva’s library, entrusted with holding our content and its creators to the highest of standards.
Our job is to ensure that our library provides end-to-end content solutions that enable our users, whether they be Professionals, Educators, or first-time Designers, with the tools they need to create beautiful designs.
Our team partners with many stakeholders across the Canva organization, including Product, Marketing, and Search & Recommendations to devise, design and deliver creative content that showcases the very best of Canva’s products and services.
Design Collective sits within the Production Team under Content Creative.
It is a newly established team with the responsibility of refreshing and scaling the templates created and researched by the wider strategic teams within Content Creative to meet the growing demands of users.
About the Role/ Specialty Sitting within the Content Creative group, the Jr.
Production Designer will join the Design Collective squad under the Production Team.
You will primarily be responsible for refreshing and scaling our template library which will grant you the opportunity to work across a wide variety of creative projects within the Content Creative group.
You are the core executioner of each project by carrying out the vision of the task and bringing it to fruition by going through the production process.
This role will enable you to gain knowledge about the best practices for all types of templates we offer in Canva.
As the Jr.
Production Designer, you are expected to actively polish or remix templates to meet Canva’s quality standards.
This means being able to deliver exemplary and user-friendly templates according to the technical guidelines set by the stakeholders, while still having an eye for updated design trends.

Production Designer in Design Collective consistently acknowledges ownership of the tasks being assigned to them, which comes from a deep understanding that other teams are dependent on our output to deliver their work towards wider company goals.
What we're looking for: A Production Designer with at least 1 year of experience We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and relishes it to perfect the project You master the art of creative execution — a production designer who values each step of the production process to ensure the work done adheres to the visual and technical guidelines provided You thrive in a routine-based environment with a sequential approach but can be flexible and adaptable when required An exceedingly motivated "doer" and team player You will be responsible for managing your day-to-day agenda with minimum supervision Highly organized and solutions-focused A team player with a deep understanding of accountability and priorities, ensuring all deliverables are produced on time Excellent written and verbal communication skills — concise and influential communication skills are a must You’re happy to roll up your sleeves with any task, keeping the bigger picture in mind, with no task being too small if it makes the team around you more effective What you'll learn and how you'll develop at Canva You'll be part of a world-class design team, including a strong Visual Design sub-speciality, where you can work with like-minded folks on the latest creative projects You will get to contribute to the Canva Library by delivering fresh templates You'll get to help establish the newly launched team within Production Team You will have the opportunity to learn about best practices for each template type You will also get to experience working with engineers to find creative solutions to technical blockers #J-18808- Ljbffr
