Product Owner / E-Commerce

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to lead the development of a E-commerce / Customer portal for a logistics division within the MSC Group.

This platform will enable seamless interactions between our clients, service providers, and operational/business teams.

  As the Product Owner, you will play a critical role in defining, delivering, and continuously improving this platform to enhance customer experience and streamline operations. You will work within an Agile environment to prioritize features, maintain a product roadmap, and ensure that the platform meets the evolving needs of our customers and business stakeholders in alignment with the business requirements and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  Product Vision & Strategy:
Collaborate with key business stakeholders ( Marketing, Digital, Ops etc. ) to define the product vision and align it with the overall business objectives
Develop a product strategy that focuses on customer-centric features, operational efficiency, and scalability, ensuring the platform meets the needs of diverse users.
Manage the product backlog, contributing to the creation, refining, and prioritizing user stories, features and technical tasks.
Work closely with cross-functional teams ( Infra & ops, security, developers, QA, etc. ) to ensure that product requirements are clearly defined and well-understood.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact between the development team and business stakeholders, ensuring continuous communication and alignment of goals.
Provide regular updates to senior management on product progress, risks, and timelines.
Facilitate decision-making and ensure clarity on business requirements.

Agile Development Process:
Work within an Agile environment, ensuring that user stories are ready for sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions.
Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of business priorities and customer requirements during sprint cycles.

User- Centric Design & Development:
Advocate for the end-user, ensuring that the platform delivers an intuitive, user-friendly experience.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to define workflows, wireframes and interfaces that support both customers and internal users.

Quality Assurance & Testing:
Define acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure that they are met during the development process.
Work with QA teams to plan and execute testing for new features and bug fixes.

Continuous Improvement:
Analyze product performance, gather user feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Implement iterative enhancements based on data insights, customer feedback and market trends.

Roadmap & Release Planning:
Own the product roadmap and ensure it is aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Plan and oversee product releases, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, preferably in e-commerce, logistics, or a related industry.

·        Professional-level fluency in both written and spoken English.  
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies ( Scrum preferred), with hands-on experience managing Agile teams.
Experience in e-commerce platforms or customer-facing applications.
Knowledge of web development technologies
Demonstrated ability to define clear product requirements and manage complex backlogs.
Understanding of API integration and third-party software integrations.
Familiarity with security best practices, including SSL certificates and two-factor authentication.
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
