Title: Lineworker Training Assistant ( Pole Yard)


Salary Range: Hourly rate of $20 per hour


Standard Hours: 5p - 9p, two or three nights per week


Work Location:  On- Site


FLSA Status: Non- Exempt


College: Gateway Community & Technical College,  Boone Campus


Department: Manufacturing & Transportation Technologies

Job Summary


Assist in training and developing future line workers in technical skills and safety protocols. This role supports hands-on instruction alongside a full-time instructor.

Ideal candidates should be passionate about safety and committed to preparing the next generation of line workers.

Job Duties:


• Deliver instructional materials





• Conduct hands-on training





• Evaluate student performance





• Ensure compliance with industry standards





• Mentor students in a high-risk environment





• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:


• 2 years of relevant experience





• Industry certifications (preferred)





• Experience with electrical power line safety





• Ability to work independently





• Strong communication and mentoring skills





• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 

Preferred Qualifications:


• Associate’s degree or equivalent





• Previous experience in a community college setting
