Job Description:
The selected candidate will work as a Commercial Manager, reporting directly to the Program Director Italy. The person in this role will be responsible for managing all existing commercial relationships and identifying new collaboration opportunities with potential corporate stakeholders ( Companies, Large- Scale Distribution, Food Industry Operators, etc. ).
A more profit-oriented approach: Acting as a spokesperson for the organization's mission, persuading companies to adopt a healthier supply chain. Increasing brand awareness.
The main responsibilities will include:
• Implementation of Commercial strategy and work plan, in close collaboration with the other members of the team as well as other colleagues in the global team.
• Provide administrative support to Commercial activities, including managing commercial inquiries and partner communications, upkeep and maintenance of databases, and minute-taking where required.
• Provide account management support for existing key accounts and partners to: maximise their engagement, build and strengthen their participation.
• Continue to grow and develop with partners throughout the seafood supply chain, completing targeted outreach activities to retailers, wholesale distributors, foodservice operators, processors, importers, and emerging markets such as pet food, baby food, and supplements and chilled packed products.
• Increase demand for and penetration in the Italian market and enable partners to communicate their commitment and progress via strong and visible marketing and communications activities.
• Work closely with the Communications team to deliver effective and valuable marketing campaigns and initiatives with key strategic partners and support the development and delivery of key consumer-facing campaigns across the year calendar.
• Work in conjunction with the regional and global Fisheries teams to support fisheries in gaining access to commercial markets.
• Provide relevant support at meetings, conferences, and in the press, as appropriate, and support in the delivery of key events, such as the annual Awards, across the team.
• Ensure that project management best practices are employed to deliver all commercial activities within budget and to deadline.
• Undertake hands-on day-to-day activity alongside colleagues to deliver strategies and action plans.
Job Profile:
The selected candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Interest in commercial relations within the Food Retail/ Large- Scale Distribution sector and communication development strategies for these channels;
• Excellent ability to interact at all levels, both internally and externally;
• Fluent English (C1 level);
• Strong proficiency in major IT tools, especially Microsoft Office;
• Excellent analytical skills;
• Strong passion for environmental sustainability and the ability to align with company values;
• Ability to work independently, with enthusiasm, and in harmony with the team, demonstrating the ability to support ideas in the collective interest;
• Willingness to travel frequently.
