We’re looking for a IT System Engineer - Validation & Onboarding Specialist, to reinforce the team in our Italy office!

You will be involved in validation activities and play a key role in our Onboarding Team relevant to Destination Earth ( DestinE) initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on various aspects of Software System Engineering, including service design and validation, and facilitating the integration of new services and partners.

Main Responsibilities


As IT System Engineer - Validation & Onboarding Specialist you will be responsible for:


• Leading and executing validation activities, including the preparation of Test Plans and Test Reports, to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems


• Managing and coordinating onboarding activities for new external companies and services, ensuring a smooth and effective integration into our platform


• Acting as a primary point of contact for external companies during the onboarding process, addressing their queries and providing necessary support


• Facilitating engagement meetings with new partners and stakeholders to foster strong collaborative relationships


• Supporting the integration of new services into our platform, acting as a technical facilitator between external companies and internal development teams


• Supporting corrective and evolutive maintenance activities, assisting the follow-up of technical teams, performing troubleshooting, and solving problems handling technical analysis


Successful Candidate


Your skills:


• A Degree in Information Technology (IT), Engineering, Technical Sciences or equivalent is required


• 2/3 years of working experience in relevant aspects


• Working experience in software testing, with preparation of Test Plan and Test Report


• Knowledge of Linux/ Unix Operating System environment, and scripting


• Knowledge of code versioning and CI/CD tools ( Git, Jenkins, Git Lab, etc. . )


• Working experience with Programming languages (e. g. Python, etc. )


• Working experience in containerized applications (e. g. Docker)


• English Level B2 ( Upper- Intermediate), written and spoken

Desirables


• Knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops practices


• Knowledge of containers orchestration (e. g. Kubernetes)


• Experience of System Engineering processes (e. g. , ECSS standard)


• Working experience with Cloud infrastructure and pipeline deployment


• Capability of writing technical documentation (e. g. , Procedures, Technical Notes, Interface Control Document, System Design Document)


• Knowledge of Earth Observation satellite data product formats


• Knowledge of Destination Earth ( DestinE) programme


• Critical thinking and self-organization skills
