HSES Manager

We are currently looking for an HSES Manager for the preparation and the coordination of an equipment repairing work on a petrochemical installation.

The HSES Manager will have overall responsibility for Site HSE ( Health, Safety, Environment). The HSES Manager leads, assists and advises the Site Construction Manager concerning all HSES issues on site during the reparing activities. He leads and guides Contractors HSE teams.

The main tasks and duties are:


• Promote HSE rules and risks awarness



• Prepare HSES files (HSES plan)



• Coordinate HSES officers team in shift



• Ensure that the Subcontractors have taken in account contractual and local safety requirements (HSES plan and safety standards, local regulation requirements, Client requirements, and Site requirements, training and qualification requirements).



• Check and co-validate the subcontractor’s HSES plan, risk assessment and other required documents.



• Check that the material, tools, machines are controlled according to local effective regulation otherwise company requirements.



• Communicate with Subcontractor the safety points concerning special works (e. g , excavations, confined spase, work at height, lifting, radiographics, pneumatics etc).



• Advise the Site manager in the reprimanding personnel and Subcontractors caught disrespecting the regulations in force.



• Ensure the implementation of Safe work permit



• Monitoring of the effective daily housekeeping on worksite and base life.



• Manage the Safety meetings with all subcontractors, issue a Minute of Meeting, observations close out follow up.



• Participate to the Coordination Meeting with subcontractors giving information and monitoring about: coactivity, special works, dangerous works, special safety instruction (client, weather, confined space …)



• Perform specific sensitization to workers e. g. Safety induction, Toolbox, Safe Work Permit



• Report the safety activities on a weekly basis




Requirements


• Proven experience as HSE Manager on Construction sites within Oil &Gas, Construction or Petrochemical Industries.



• Fluent English



• The candidate must be in possession of:




• work at height qualification



• scaffolding check qualification



• first aider qualification



• confined space qualification
