About the Business
Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. Together with our destination experts, our sales and account management teams generate business by partnering with our customers (Tour Operators, Travel Agencies) to shape exciting itineraries suited to their traveler’s needs. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travelers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Operator Coordinator to join our dynamic and global team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in Tourist Business and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.
Hotel Reservation Coordinators are vital to the success of Kuoni Tumlare, join us and we can provide a long and exciting career path. You will need to be agile and organized, able to manage a high volume of bookings, ensuring all information is communicated and logged correctly, be able to push bookings through in time and make any adjustments to bookings as needed. And always expect the unexpected, handling ad hoc requests with ease.
Based within the Hotel Reservation Department, you will work closely with all areas of Operations in a Destination Office, to success on performance the key objectives of the role.
Typical activities - Hotel Reservation Coordinator
All kinds of hotel reservations and services for all AD HOC and MICE groups, FIT, Series pre bookings, local sales.
Provide booking advice to other sales offices within established guidelines
Make reservations and follow up with suppliers
Maintain budgets and if possible seek to increase profit margin through negotiation as and when required
Check more detailed itineraries based on expert local knowledge
Coordinate and handle inquiries from sales offices, suppliers and other inbound departments
Maintain and develop relationships with sales offices and suppliers
Liaise with other departments to ensure tour runs smoothly
Resolve issues such as rate disputes etc
Complexity:
The candidate will be required to work independently and resolve a variety of queries within established procedures with minimum day to day supervision. Changing priorities or differing situations encountered mean that the job holder has latitude to consider how to address any given situation in order to achieve the required results, in compliance with established methods of working.
Work will be allocated but the jobholder will have to consider and agree priorities with those providing the work. At this level the candidate will be expected to provide appropriate advice and develop relationships with customers.
To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:
Higher education in the related field
Knowledge of Travel industryis advantageous but not essential.
Proficient in all Microsoft programs
English: high level, very fluent in speaking and writing.
