The impact you’ll make
What more could our guests want than outstanding service, a clean comfortable room and delicious food and drink? It will be your job to make sure they get even more from their stay with us. Reactively promotes all the options open to them, as well as being on hand to answer any questions about our hotels and services, you’ll make sure they know about everything they could wish for – and more. You’ll help create the warmest welcomes and most memorable visits and stays that keep them coming back again and again.
What you’ll do
Leads Management and conversion
• Qualify and answer all the groups & events leads, follow-up with the clients and convert the inquiries into confirmed status.
• Conduct site inspections and client meetings to showcase the hotel’s offerings.
• Deliver timely, brand-aligned proposals and maintain a dynamic, organized sales pipeline.
• Oversee the contract process until signature, before handing over to on-property teams for execution.
Coordination & Event organization
• Manage the planning and coordination of all event details, working closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into flawless executions.
• Liaise with a variety of departments such as (and not limited to) rooms, kitchen, banquet operations, restaurants and bars to ensure all operational aspects of events are delivered to the highest luxury service standards.
• Prepare and deliver detailed and complete Banquet & Event Order with due anticipation and handle the weekly “. meeting” with Operations.
Maximizing the Hotel Revenue
• Maintain accurate records of all bookings and communication using the hotel’s CRM and events management systems, in order the sales strategy to always be aligned and efficient.
• Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the hotel’s overall revenue goals.
• Upsell hotel’s outlets and services to increase the total RevPAR
• Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
• Support cross-selling opportunities within other Marriott properties
Customer experience and luxury service delivery
• Plan and deliver events together with the client while building strong relationships and encouraging repeat business.
• Understand and anticipate clients’ needs, showing empathy, so to ensure a personalized service and a one-of-a-kind luxury experience.
• Enroll guests to make them loyal to W Rome and Marriott and make them returning guests, offering them the guarantee of a customized and personal-preferences-based service.
Post-event management
• Oversee the billing process, ensuring timely payment and full reconciliation of accounts.
• Set-up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies.
• Conduct post-event evaluations with the clients to gather feedback, secure repeat business, and to identify areas for improvement
What we’re looking for
• At least 3/5years of related work experience in sales or events in luxury hospitality
• Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), and negotiation skills
• Confirmed organizational and time-management abilities
• Customer-care and luxury-service-delivery mindset
• Attention to detail, problem-solving attitude, and ability to manage multiple events at once
• Positive and outgoing personality and a team-first attitude
• Proficiency with events and sales software (. Opera, Delphi, Salesforce, or similar).
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on event schedules.
• Fluent English and Italian; additional languages are a plus
• EU work permit or EU citizenship required
