APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: April 22nd2024 The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science.
HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally.
In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT’s technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a Junior Facility Management Officer.
The role, part of the Facility Management service, will support all operational and administrative tasks with a focus on maintenance services for offices and research labs, ensuring that quality service is provided in line with the policies, procedures and legislative requirements in the whole Campus and external facilities.
Human Technopole, located in Milan MIND Area and counts more than 20. 000 sqm of complex building infrastructures, highly technological laboratories and services.
The next stage of development will double the current size and will open multiple services to other national institutions.
Your main tasks and responsibilities: Assist the line manager in the verification of day-by-day maintenance activities and soft services management, monitoring the progress of activities carried out by external suppliers informing him in good time of any deviations from the schedule; Maintain up-to-date contractual documents and the maintenance plan for the regular execution of maintenance operations; Support regular checks/inspections on the condition of the building, facilities, all problems and services related to the facility and corrective actions, including through the building BMS and fire systems according to the guidelines of the Line Manager and Experts, with a focus on preliminary diagnostic activities of any problems, to identify the best resolution methods; Support estimative metric calculation activities with reference to official price lists ( Provveditorato per le Opere Pubbliche, Regione Lombardia, Comune di Milano, etc. ), Maintain up-to-date relations with the various departments for periodic activities and any other short and long term maintenance activities; Keep the assigned intervention tickets up to date; Maintain and report any risks and emergency crises and follow up operational actions for resolution in coordination with the HSE Area; Periodically being part of the on-call service.
Mandatory requirements: Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field; Fluency both in English and Italian; Excellent use of MS Office suite.
Preferred requirements: Basic knowledge of BMS systems and plant infrastructures; Previous experience in a similar role (e. g. , internships); Previous experience in research/hospital/university environments.
Organizational and social skills: Good relational skills, teamworking, proactive approach and ability to relate with different functions within an international environment; Problem-solving and autonomous in his/her own tasks; Time Management.
