We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Export Manager – Cross Trade to oversee and manage international shipments between third countries, with a primary focus on coordinating production and shipments from our manufacturing facilities in India and MENA countries to final destination markets such as the USA and Canada. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless execution of cross trade operations, handling complex logistics processes, documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate cross trade shipments (triangular trade) from origin to destination.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and end clients to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and Bills of lading.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and export controls.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with freight and logistics service providers.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, cost tracking, and performance KP Is.
• Coordinate with the sales, procurement, and finance departments to ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Handle issues related to delayed shipments, documentation errors, or customs holds.
• Optimize cross trade routes and costs to improve delivery times and profitability.
• Stay up to date with international shipping trends, trade agreements, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’ s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience working with multinational suppliers and clients.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping documentation, and customs regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of U. S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and international shipping documentation (e. g. , Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Italian and English – required for all documentation, customs communication, and internal coordination. Proficiency in any other languages (i. e. french) is a strong plus
