To enable our sales growth in Italy we are currently recruiting for a Business Development Representative Protective Coatings.
The main purpose of this role is to enable the growth of sales primarily, but not limited, in the Italian region by identifying, prioritizing, and supporting the sales force to secure new built construction projects within civil and industrial infrastructure, energy plants (incl.
Renewables), food & beverage processing plants, pharma plants, etc. This is a field based role that can be performed from anywhere within Italy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To increase SW brand awareness and visibility to main owners, engineers, and architects active in the aforesaid region and be considered a trusted partner for coatings related topics.
To identify and select the target projects at their early stages in full alignment with the involved segment functions (using tools/databases, customers’ info, .
To gain the best possible specification position for the selected target projects, developing a winning strategy for each project in full alignment with the involved region(s) and with the involved segment functions. To identify and build network with the customers’ key decision makers/influencers (vertical project teams: engineering teams, QA/QC teams, subcontract dept. , construction dept, site managers).
To identify the subcontractors value chain of the target projects and share it with the involved sales managers in the regions.
To offer guidance and creative solutions to Client and/or Sales Representative/ Team To communicate with Sales Representative/ Team on projects and review overall scope of work To create standard specification clauses, details and technical literature that promote the sales of SW products To produce and deliver such technical presentations, seminars and product demonstrations assisted by the technical To introduce new products and concepts to consultant engineers, architects and client bodies To organize and attend technical seminars, exhibitions as well as social and entertainment functions with a view to developing business relationship.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: High school or college level educationKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:3-5 years in Sales, Marketing or Business Development, preferably within Protective Coatings market in Italian region or at least experience in coatings business and/or adjacent industry.
Experience in dealing with owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors on new built civil/industrial projects.
Ability to build network with different stakeholders/key decision makers of customers’ organization.
Experience in civil and/or industrial construction business.
